The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), in consultation with the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) and in line with Section 80 of the National Pensions Act 2008 (Act 766), has indexed monthly pensions upwards by 25percent for the year 2023.
Per the increment, all pensioners for the year 2022 will see witness an increment in their pension receipts for the year 2023.
The effective increase in pensions ranges from 19.05percent for the highest-earning pensioner to 43.53percent for the lowest-earning pensioner.
This mean that the highest-earning pensioner as at 31st December 2022 will receive GH¢169,725.89 per month in 2023, whilst the lowest-earner for same period will receive GH¢430.58, the statement from SSNIT said.
