Chief Executive Officer of indigenous beauty care and household sanitary products manufacturing company JRA Cosmetics Limited, Jane Reason Ahadzie, emerged as the “Ultimate Woman of the Year” for the entrepreneurship category, at the 2022 edition of the Women’s Choice Awards Africa.
Organised by Global Ovations, the awards event seeks to honour and reward accomplished female personalities who are making great strides in their chosen careers to inspire the next generation of women who would become a force for positive change and excellence in their respective fields.
The JRA boss was honoured for her sterling achievements in the domestic manufacturing sector in the field of cosmetics and general household sanitary products.
The award also recognized her immeasurable contribution and support for women-focused initiatives that have helped to shape the lives of several young women and youth through direct employment and other social investment actions.
With practical leadership, she has supervised the growth of her company, JRA Cosmetics, to become a household brand and a force to reckon in the local beauty care and home care production, with market leading products such as body lotion and creams, sanitary products and detergents.
This year’s event was on the theme “Digitalization— the New Phase of Women Empowerment; the Unstoppable Woman, Breaking the Bias to Advance Inclusive Leadership and Elevation”.
Several female personalities and brands in the areas of marketing, finance, community advocacy, entertainment, fashion, and food were presented with awards for their contributions to the growth of their businesses. In all, a total of 64 awardees were honoured at the event.
Chief Executive of Global Ovations, Gideon Raji, said the event was to acknowledge the immense contributions of women in developing the country.
“Our commitment is to continue the cause of empowering women in every good way possible. We do not see this as a celebration but a movement; an everyday operation channeled at liberating women and girls in Ghana and Africa from the mental chains of inferiority and limitations,” he said.
