The Ship Owners and Agents Association of Ghana (SOAAG) has celebrated its 30th anniversary with its stakeholders in a plush cocktail ceremony held at the Sandbox Beach Club in Accra.
SOAAG, an association of 17 market leading shipping companies that operate in the country, has for the past three decades, served as a central organization in the country for companies and corporations engaged in the shipping business.
Executive Member of SOAAG, Adam Imoru Ayarna, in his brief remarks, commended stakeholders for their support and cooperation towards the collective good and growth of Ghana’s maritime ecosystem.
“We could not have come this far without your cooperation and support; our doors are always open and we are ever ready to meet with you to find solutions to issues when the need arises,” he added.
He further indicated the association’s resolve to rely on effective dialogue to arrive at mutually beneficial solutions with its stakeholders.
Mr. Ayarna added: “SOAAG and our members will count on this cordial relationship in the years ahead as we collectively work to position Ghana as the maritime and trade hub of the sub-region.”
Stakeholders present including the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, the Meridian Port Services, the Ghana Shippers Authority among other expressed continued support to the activities of SOAAG in the country.
