Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), Osafohene Dr. Afua Asabea Asare I, has been adjudged CEO of the Year in the Export-Trade Sector, Public Sector category, at the 8th Ghana CEOs Awards, held at the plush Kempinski Hotel in Accra.
She was recognized for her significant impact and contributions to Ghana’s economic growth through her noticeable efforts in promoting Ghanaian products globally, as the head of the state exports promotion agency.
According to the organizers, Chief Executives Network Ghana, the awardees exemplify exceptional business practices, achievements, and leadership qualities.
The criteria for evaluation include demonstrating business excellence, exhibiting leadership and vision, upholding high ethical standards and professionalism, investing in Ghana, creating jobs, and positively impacting the business community over the past years.
This year’s event was themed “Reigniting Business and Economic Growth: Charting a Path Forward; Transforming State-owned Enterprises through Economic Diversification and Al Transformation, Fostering a High-Level Public-Private Sector Dialogue.”
